Hard Realities of Life

May 15, 2016 Speaker: Cedric Moss Series: Ecclesiastes

Passage: Ecclesiastes 3:16–22

This morning, we are resuming our sermon series in the book of Ecclesiastes. As mentioned in the previous sermon in this series, Ecclesiastes chapter 3 marks a transition in the book. The Preacher in chapters 1 and 2 questions and explores the meaning of life. Chapters 3 through 12 read more like the observations he made about life as he sought to understand the meaning of life. In the passage we are considering this morning, the Preacher shares observations about contradictions in life and the reality of death and how man is like the beast of the field because both die and return to the dust. Let’s posture our hearts to hear God’s wisdom from God’s word.
